The Los Angeles sneaker store that dipped a pair of Supreme x Jordan Vs in paint may have unwittingly kick started one of the year’s biggest sneaker trends, and now artist CJ Hendry is taking the fad to new heights with a project that will benefit those who need it most.

After crafting a jaw-dropping pen drawing of the dipped Mags, Hendry has decided to sell the artwork via auction with 100 percent of the proceeds going to purchasing new sneakers for those in need. It all goes down next month from December 1-6 at Miami’s Scope Art Fair.

Along with the charitable auction, Hendry is teaming with NYC’s Stadium Goods to create a documentary of the entire experience, which she’s dubbed #sneakerdead. “This doc will form part of the artwork and I cannot wait to see how many sneakers this sketch will fetch,” Hendrywrote.
