Fetty Wap’s breakout year just won’t quit. Even as he recovers from his broken leg, which was a result of a motorcycle accident, the “My Way” rapper has yet to slow down. And the steady hustling has seemed to pay off. The rapper announced that he has signed a deal with Sony/ATV Music Publishing. The publishing deal refers specifically to the promotion of his hit single, “Trap Queen,” and including other tracks from his debut album, Fetty Wap.

It may seem like his debut album doesn’t need much help. The self-entitled album cashed in on 4.7 million downloads in the U.S. alone and has previously topped the top 200 charts in its first release week. But the extra support and promotion couldn’t hurt.

“The Sony/ATV partnership will create great opportunities for Fetty Wap’s music to be branded through other mediums,” Fetty Wap’s attorney Navarro W. Gray said.

Along with the “679” rapper’s enthusiasm, Sony/ATV is also excited to welcome him to the family. “It is always refreshing when a new artist comes on the scene with a bunch of hits like Fetty Wap has, so we are thrilled that he has now decided to become part of the Sony/ATV family. With a talent like his, there is no doubt he is both the man for today as well as tomorrow,” Sony/ATV CEO, Martin Bandier said.

Congrats Fetty Wap!
