Matt Daniels’ infographic research game is bananas.

Last year, he ranked the best MCs vocabulary game to much hoopla, but he’s back with a hip-hop themed infographic that breaks down the most successful hip-hop record labels since 1989 — according to their artists’ hits on Billboard.

At the top of the list is the iconic Def Jam label followed by Young Money, which has only been in business since ’09,  and Roc-A-Fella lands in at No. 3.

According to the stats, the folks over at Def Jam cranked out 135 chart-topping tracks since its inceptin. YM cranked out 83 hit songs, and the Roc landed on the charts 86 times. Unsurprisingly, Bad Boy and Death Row were also mainstays on the charts.
