After the upsetting death of West Coast rapper Eazy-E transpired over 20 years ago, the theories explaining how the N.W.A. member contracted the fatal AIDS virus continues to spew out of control to this day. This week proved to be no different, as rapper Frost—who was formerly signed to Eazy’s Ruthless Records label—opens up about how he personally thinks the Compton native received the disease from the jump.

“I’ma tell you what happened with Eazy getting AIDS and I believe this to the day,” Frost said in a recent outtake from the documentary, For The Record. “I don’t care if you guys got it on film. You can tell the world. They gave him tainted needles with acupuncture. Needles that tainted him, they gave it to him.” After injuring himself in a four-wheeler accident back in the day, Eazy-E required acupuncture following the incident, which led Frost to believe that the needles ordered were contaminated. But it’s who Frost insinuates ordered the deadly needles from is where the plot twist occurs.

“What happened was that someone, I won’t say the name, but people know the name,” Frost says, alluding to Suge Knight. “I don’t wanna say that name ’cause it’s the devil’s name, but another person in rap, if you know you’re history of rap, calls him the devil. If you know the history of rap, West Coast rap, you know who I’m saying. I was told even in my last conversation from Eazy not to even talk to that man. Not only that, but I think that they really had a stronghold of giving him tainted needles with the AIDS virus in him with acupuncture.”

A controversial throwback clip of Knight joking that contaminated needles were the trend to kill someone (he dubbed it “an Eazy-E thing”) fall right in line with Frost’s beliefs that the Death Row Records leader was the culprit.
