Lil Wayne’s concert Thursday night didn’t exactly end on a high note. While performing at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Tunechi was ready to jump into his “CoCo” remix, off of January’s Sorry 4 the Wait 2 mixtape. The DJ, though, was ready to jump into the original, by OT Genesis. Those two things, it turned out, didn’t match. As Weezy prepared to launch into his opening lines — “I’m sorry for the wait, I’m sorry for the wait” — instead, the original’s — “I’m in love with the CoCo” — started blaring through the speakers. Wayne was not pleased. He stared at the DJ for a moment, as if to say, “What the hell are you doing?” and then tossed his mic and walked off stage. The concert came just a day after police surrounded the rapper’s Miami home after a 911 call and report of a shooting. Wayne was not home at the time, and it turned out that the incident was a hoax. via: mtv Share Via:Click to share on Pinterest (Opens in new window)Click to share on Tumblr (Opens in new window)Click to email this to a friend (Opens in new window)Like this:Like Loading...
