Originally introduced in 1979, Mercedes-Benz‘s “G-Wagen” has long been the favorite SUV of automotive enthusiasts thanks to its retro boxy style, body-on-frame construction, and its use of three locking differentials for stability and traction – thus resulting in its status as the longest-running Mercedes production model. Now, after more than three decades, the German auto giant is set to say goodbye to the G-Class’ convertible cabriolet with a limited “Final Edition.” Sporting a 5.5 liter V8 under the hood, the “Final Edition” boasts 388 horsepower, 398 lb-ft of torque, and a classic metallic black exterior with an old school beige leather interior and matching soft top to boot. Limited to just 200 production models, the Mercedes-Benz G-Class Cabriolet Final Edition has been completely spoken for thanks to those lucky enough to have an opportunity to pre-order the finished design.
