As much as anyone enjoys receiving a new Nike box (because they know what’s inside), the plain old cardboard is pretty boring. Not to mention you should expect something better with some of the price tags sneakers carry nowadays.

German designer Ralf Schroeder has conjured up something pretty dope though. Using the air unit in Nike’s kicks as the theme, he has essentially encapsulated a pair of kicks in a big air bubble. The packaging would be perfect for displays especially because of the floating illusions it creates.

However if you’re shoes ever actually came like this you would have a pretty hard time stacking kicks and would have to find something new to store them in after unpacking them. They would be perfect for shipping though, no worries about crushed boxes showing up on your door step anymore.
