Mac Miller, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony and others join the rapper for his album release Tuesday.

Oh lord, does Game know how to put on a hell of a show! On Tuesday night, to celebrate the release of his fifth studio album Jesus Piece at the House of Blues in Los Angeles, the Cali MC was welcomed onstage by Jesus.

No, the son of God didn’t come down from the heavens, but Game did get a blond-haired man dressed in a white robe to deliver him with a diamond encrusted Jesus piece (which wore a second Jesus piece — yes, his chain has a chain) as the “Hate It or Love It” rapper began his set.

“The Westside is in this muthaf—a,” Game barked into the mic before launching into “Scared Now” the opener to the album, which he dropped yesterday.

There were a number of guests who stormed the stage with Hurricane Game, as Tyler, the Creator, Mac Miller, Tyga and Bone Thugs-N-Harmony all came out to perform alongside the Compton star.

Some were upset that for his album cover, Game chose an image of Jesus that doesn’t exactly fall in line with the way the religious figure is traditionally portrayed. On the LP, he presents an African-American Jesus who sports a red bandana and a teardrop tattoo, and he makes no apologies for it.

“I did the album cover the way I wanted to. It embodies part of my career, my life; it’s all in that cover,” he told MTV News. “And, you know, I love God, Jesus Christ is my savior and I’m still out here thuggin’.”
