Let’s take a look at some of Nas’ stats real quick: 14 albums; six number one albums; seven platinum albums; three undisputed classic albums; and zero Grammys.

Something is not right here, folks.

The fact that Nas has been in the game for two decades, with no Grammy awards to show for, is stunning to us.

Yesterday, the Grammys released their list of nominations and we were pleasantly surprised to see that Nas was nominated for three awards for his Life is Good album.

Let’s hope that the suits get it right this time and throw our dude some gold.

Just to remind folks how wrong the Grammys are sometimes, here are 10 surprising artists who have won Grammys before Nas has.

Baha Men

In 2000, Baha Men took the one-hit record crown from Los del Río, with the release of the truly terrible dance record “Who Let The Dogs Out.” Incredibly, that song won a Grammy for Best Dance Recording in 2000.

Milli Vanilli

Everyone knows the Milli Vanilli story: the duo was the biggest act in music, winning a Best New Artist Grammy for their debut album, All or Nothing. Then it came out that the two were a bunch of fakers who lip-synched their way to the Grammys. Milli Vanilli are the only acts to have to return their Grammy.

“Weird Al” Yankovic

“Weird Al” Yankovic has built his career on mockingly redoing some of the most popular songs of the time. This includes his own renditions of classic songs like Nirvana’s “Smells Like Teen Spirit” and Coolio’s “Gangsta’s Paradise.”

Paula Cole

Incredibly, Paula Cole won a Best New Artist Grammy in a year when Fiona Apple, Erykah Badu and Puff Daddy were also nominated.

It seems like everyone hates Creed. GlobalGrind doesn’t hate the Canadian band: we just have a deep dislike for their music. So we think it’s a joke that they won a Grammy for “With Arms Wide Open.”

The group’s greatest single, I Swear,” isn’t an awful song. But it damn sure isn’t a Grammy award winning one. And besides, Boyz II Men >>> these dudes.

MC Hammer

MC Hammer has become one of the greatest hip-hop jokes of all time. While someone like Nas is as respected as they come. So why does Hammer have the gold?

Young MC

Young MC’s “Bust a Move” is classic, feel-good record. But, the song won a Grammy the same year Public Enemy was nominated for “Fight the Power” and De La Soul was nominated for “Me Myself and I.” No bueno!

We got mad, mad love for Nelly, but Nelly has won multiple Grammys. Nas has zero. Something’s just not right in herre.
