Meek Mill wants to bring back hip-hop’s lost ancient art of battling, and the MMG rapper has his sights set on spitters Cassidy and Murda Mook.

“I think I’d [match up] Cassidy and [Murda] Mook right now. That’d be crazy right there. I’d do Cassidy and Mook,” Mill revealed in an interview earlier in the week. “Cassidy ain’t been in a battle but everybody knows, Cassidy, that’s what he do.”

Cassidy caught wind of this proposition and revealed he’s not exactly opposed to the idea of fighting… Mill. “Well, you know, that’s what I do, man,” Cassidy said. “In a way, since I got a deal and started getting money off this industry, it wasn’t beneficial for me to battle… I know I’mma bite their head off, but what am I going to get out of it?” Cassidy then went on to say that if there was something in it for him — like “a nice little check” and credibility, he’d be “with it.”

“We could make it happen, put it together and make it make sense,” Cassidy concluded.

Earlier this summer, Cassidy and Mill got into a little spat on Twitter, but other than that the two Philadelphia rappers have never worked together.
