Really, it’s no surprise that Oprah Winfrey has come in at #1 as the highest paid celebrity on Forbes latest money-making list (for the fourth straight year). But what may surprise some is Dr. Dre‘s position on the list. The producer and businessman ranked at #5.

According to Forbes, Oprah brought in $165 million between May 2011 and May 2012 with the help of her OWN network, O magazine, and Harpo Productions, which is behind shows like “Dr. Phil,” “The Dr. Oz Show,” and “Rachel Ray.”

Dr. Dre took the fifth position largely because of his Beats By Dre headphones company. Between last year and now, he has earned $110 million.

Some of Hollywood’s biggest producers and directors take the remaining top spots on the list. Michael Bay is at #2 with $160 million; Steven Spielberg ranks #3 with $130 million; and Jerry Bruckheimer comes in at #4 with $115 million earned over the past year.

*To put the list together, Forbes “considered upfront pay, profit participation, residuals, endorsements and advertising work.”
