I don’t know what you’ve been told? G.O.O.D. music’s cover art is always cold!

2 Chainz unveiled his Based On A T.R.U. Story cover art earlier this week, and to our surprise, he got some help from G.O.O.D. Music’s general Kanye West.

You all may remember Kanye’s 80 post Twitter rant about his vision in life and the design house he founded in his mother’s honor, DONDA.

Well, one of DONDA’s photographers, Fabien Montique, shot the simple black cover with two classic gold chains.

In an exclusive interview with Billboard, 2 Chainz revealed how Kanye’s DONDA helped him with his cover art:

“Kanye and I share a similar vision and think along the same lines creatively. So, when it came time to develop the imagery for my project, I trusted him and his team at DONDA to get the job done and communicate my sentiments. They were the first people I thought of. Their team is unprecedented. Expect next level imagery, sonics and stage performance. This is curated art. The Louvre of rap.”

G.O.O.D. music’s compilation album Cruel Summer is set to drop August 7.

2 Chainz’s Def Jam debut Based On A T.R.U. Story is set to hit store shelves August 14.
