Looks like Lil Wayne draws inspiration from an unlikely source.

Sitting courtside at the Lakers game, Weezy told the L.A. Times that his life and music was inspired by none other than NBA star Kobe Bryant.

“He’s inspired not only songs, but he’s inspired me in life in general just the way he attacks things, the way he never backs down, the way he fights through injury,” Lil Wayne said.
“I believe he’s the greatest player to touch a basketball.”

The #24-wearing Laker has been winning this season despite the torn ligament in his right wrist, scoring 40 points and even raising $67,100 for the Kobe and Vanessa Bryant Family Foundation after auctioning the mask guard he wore when he broke his nose.

When the rapper was told that Bryant has also expressed being a fan of his, a grilled-up Weezy smiled and simply said, “I hope so.”
